VERNNY ARGÜELLO
Vernny Argüello is a Costa Rican cinematographer and filmmaker. He began his training in Digital Animation, where he developed a strong foundation in photography, lighting, composition, visual storytelling, and audiovisual language. He later received a scholarship to pursue a Master’s Degree in Cinematography at ESCAC in Barcelona.
Throughout his career, he has worked primarily in advertising, music videos, and audiovisual productions of different scales, filming extensively across Costa Rica. He has also worked in the camera department on feature films and served as Director of Photography on several short films. His work is defined by a strong connection between image, music, and storytelling, as he continues to develop his career with a particular focus on narrative and fiction filmmaking.
